Experience a river cruise like no other, with this sailing along the Columbia River aboard American Empress, the largest overnight riverboat west of the Mississippi and part of the iconic American Queen Steamboat Company fleet.

Before embarking, stay overnight in Portland with some time to yourself, and greet American Empress the following morning. Sail along the Columbia River with stops in Astoria and The Dalles in Oregon, and Stevenson, Richland and Clarkston in Washington. View stunning vistas and riverbank wildlife, explore old-town histories and experience exciting cultures, all aboard an exceptional vessel of Pacific Northwest heritage.

From Clarkston, stay at a 4-star hotel for a two-night stay, during which you can enjoy a tour of Spokane, including a visit to Bing Crosby’s home, and a walking, art and wine tasting tour of Downtown Spokane. After your stay, you will transfer to the airport for a flight back to the UK.

19 October 2018Scenic river cruising
Continue along the Columbia River, passing through mountain ranges and gorges. Keep your eye out for wandering wildlife along the riverbanks and soaring eagles above the 1,000 ft basalt cliffs.

Situated at the confluence of the Columbia and Yakima rivers, Richland is home to a breadth of significant projects and institutions.
