River cruises in March make for the perfect Easter escape; with spring finally upon us, there’s a wider choice of itineraries available as the temperature starts to rise across the continent.
The first Europe itineraries also start to sail, with cruises along the Danube, and the Rhone available. Popular places to visit include Holland, as the tulips begin to bloom, and Lisbon, as the crowds are much smaller than in summer, while it's still quite warm. Many cruise lines start to set sail to Europe in March, including Avalon Waterways and Emerald Waterways.
