River cruises in March make for the perfect Easter escape; with spring finally upon us, there’s a wider choice of itineraries available as the temperature starts to rise across the continent.
The Far East and Asia are still very popular March cruise options, with Mekong itineraries exploring Cambodia and Vietnam due to the bright and dry weather. Lines offering Asia cruises in March include Avalon Waterways, Emerald Waterways and Riviera Travel.
The first Europe itineraries also start to sail, with cruises along the Danube, and the Rhone available. Popular places to visit include Holland, as the tulips begin to bloom, and Lisbon, as the crowds are much smaller than in summer, while it's still quite warm.
