Jubilant staff members at Tauck are doubtless still celebrating the line’s recent receipt of two top travel awards in recognition of its services as a leading river cruise operator.
The line was named ‘The World’s Best River Cruise Line’ in the August edition of respected travel magazine Travel and Leisure and shortly after, learned that it had also been awarded the accolade of Best Escorted Tour Operator by international luxury travel network Virtuoso for the third year running, during the network’s Las Vegas-held AGM ‘Virtuoso Travel Week’.
Tauck’s Chief Executive Officer Dan Mahar paid tribute to the line’s staff when commenting on the line’s achievements, saying: “Being named the travel industry’s ‘best’ in one category is noteworthy but to be simultaneously recognized in two very different categories is a testament to the passion and dedication of our employees.”
He went on to explain the company’s ethos by saying: “We have a deeply ingrained, shared sense of purpose across our company, and we are 100 per cent committed to enhancing our guests’ lives by providing the finest travel experiences possible. That mission was first articulated by our founder Arthur Tauck, Sr in the 1920s, and it’s what continues to drive and inspire the Tauck family and our larger family of Tauck employees today.”
It is the second time in three years that the line has been named World’s Best River Cruise Line by the readers of Travel and Leisure and the third year in a row that it has been named ‘Best Escorted Tour Operator’ by Virtuoso.
