With Emerald Cruises, dining is always a memorable experience, as your voyage is bookended by both a Welcome Dinner and a Farewell Dinner, the perfect showcase for the talents of the line's expert chefs. Of course, high-quality dining is a constant throughout your voyage, on which you'll enjoy a range of delectable dishes expertly prepared to reflect the many delightful tastes of Europe.
Each day starts with a mouth-watering breakfast buffet offering a range of hot and cold dishes; an experience which continues into lunch when a range of continental dishes are on offer. In the evenings, it's a five-course dinner menu daily, giving you the opportunity to enjoy an authentic taste of each region. On fine days, the Terrace is the perfect place to dine al fresco, whether that's greeting the sunrise with a coffee and a continental breakfast or enjoying a café-style lunch of soup or sandwiches.
As well as the stylish dining areas and accommodations, the ships in the Emerald Cruises fleet offer a host of fantastic facilities and amenities to help make your time on-board as enriching and enjoyable as possible. The standout feature on the majority of vessels, however, is the innovative heated swimming pool, which comes with a retractable roof so guests can enjoy a few leisurely lengths of the pool, no matter what the weather. After a swim, why not reward yourself with a refreshing drink from the bar or an ice-cool treat from the gelati station? In the evenings, the pool area transforms into a cinema which screens a number of recent releases as well as some much-loved classics - a first in river cruising.
The Sky Bar is the perfect place to unwind with a drink come evening and reflect on your experiences with fellow travellers, while the putting green and giant chess set allow for some fun and engaging on-board experiences. If keeping fit on holiday is important to you, then you'll be delighted to know that all ships in the fleet are equipped with a fitness area, while there's an opportunity for some much-needed pampering in the Massage Therapy Room.
